Updates.. when?
Yes, I know. I’ve been neglecting this site waaay too much lately due to studies and other happenings and events but I’m going to put more focus on photography again now and get soem photos taken whenever time allows for it.
First up will be a collection of photos from the Code Geass photoshoot I did back in January with Astellecia, Calssara and Lumis-Mirage. There are already some photos on dA from that shoot but I’ll be posting a more complete set here.
Another thing I’ve been playing with lately is post processing techniques since I’ve been told that my raw images are good but I really need to learn how to process them to give them that extra touch. Given my limited time due to studies I’ve only had time to look into one technique that I found quite interesting, namely HDR (examples of great HDR photos). I’ve tried to get it to work with cosplay photography even though it originally was “made” for photos of nature but I haven’t grasped it completely quite yet so for now I just use the results I get from my HDR merge (I use Photomatix) along with the original photos and touch it up a bit in Lightroom and Photoshop.
I’ve included a few examples below to illustrate the difference you can see in the final photo when using HDR, altho it doesn’t to it justice when down sampled to the size you can see here.
